How is GreenSky Green?

The Owners:

We are a locally owned business and building ("locally" = 4 blocks)

Both of GreenSky's owners are deeply involved in community organizations and not-for-profit groups (see below for details).

Our Store:

The owners rescued and restored the award winning, 1898 building with minimal build-out that preserved 90% of the original interior

We utilized recycled and reused construction material in our new Facade and Entry

Recycled carpet tiles are used in many places

We use only low VOC paints

LED and CFL light bulbs are used whenever possible

We recycle all of our cardboard, packing peanuts, plastic bags, paper, and glass

All of our office supplies are at least partially recycled and are all locally sourced.

80% of our furniture was sourced from within three blocks

We only turn on the Air Conditioner when it's over 80 degrees

Our Products:

Fair Trade

Made by local not-for-profits

From small business artisans

Made from recycled or repurposed materials; keeping them out of the landfill

All products we know, love, & have a personal story!

10% of sales from:

Fair Trade Chocolate

and

Gum and all-natural candy kits

is donated to Care For Real, Edgewater's only food pantry.
